DreamCatcher Workshops offers you the best of both worlds. A learning holiday set amid the excitement of Santiago de Cuba's vibrant Caribbean culture, its artists, craftspeople and musicians.
DreamCatcher Workshop leaders are some of Canada's most respected photographers, artists, craftspeople and educators. We offer Workshops to change your perceptions, increase you skill, give life new meaning and depth. Our evening programs provide unique experiences in Cuban Culture.
Our bilingual staff, experienced translator, and cultural guides, will ensure that you don't miss anything. Friendly, modern B&B's , personal tours and an all inclusive package ensure a fascinating and stress-free holiday.
Learn a new craft, explore Modern Art, improve your photographic techniques, make a plate or a stained glass window, and experience the beauty, colour and welcome of this special island Campanion program and additional beach resort vacations available.
Day 1
Arrival at Antonio Maceo airport and transfer to your B&B in the heart of Santiago. Dinner or Late Snack.
Day 2 (Companions leave for Baracoa)
Day 2, 3 and 4 Your Workshop Program

- Day 2 - Understanding Cuban History
- Day 3 - Presentation by Cuban Artist / Artisan

Day 5
A tour into the magic of Bacanoa Park and the Gran Piedra. Tropical Forests, Bamboo Stands and a Cloud Forest. Tropical birds, flowers ( 2) and butterflies make this an artist's idea of heaven - Bring your camera and your sketchbook. Lunch at an Artisans' Village. We'll visit some historical sites on our way back to the city. After dinner our evening program - Signs and Symbols - alternative religion in Cuban Art
Day 6
Walking Tour of Santiago's Main Galleries and Museums, lots of time to talk to artists about their work. Paladar lunch. Studio visits to artists and craftspeople, here you'll meet artists in a relaxed atmosphere and have time to explore their vision of Cuban Art. Dinner and a visit to the local Trova for a musical evening.
Day 7
We'll drive to El Cobre to the Basilica of the Virgin de la Caridad the patron saint of Cuba. For the stout hearted and footed we'll walk up to the Cimarron statue. Lunch and a free afternoon. We'll have dinner outside the city and a program of Afro-Cuban dance especially for you.
Day 8
We'll explore an exotic Fern Garden, and explore the art of its Director who is internationally known for both his art and his contributions to the world of ferns. Lunch at a local Paladar. Transfer to Antonio Maceo Airport.
